Renting a kayak in Blanes is a safe and accessible experience for everyone, but there are some things worth knowing before your trip along the Costa Brava.
No experience required. Our team will explain the basics before you set out: how to paddle, how to turn and what to do if you capsize. Kayaking is very accessible.
Swimsuit, technical or lycra shirt (to avoid chafing), water-resistant sunscreen, sunglasses with strap and a water bottle. We provide the life jacket and paddle.
Yes. Life jackets are mandatory and we provide them. We always stay within the protected coastal area of Blanes. If weather conditions aren't suitable, we cancel the activity.
Children can ride in the double kayak with an adult from age 6. From age 14 they can ride solo in the individual kayak. Maximum recommended weight per person is 110 kg.
If it's your first time, we recommend Sa Palomera (10 min) or Punta de Santa Anna (15 min). With a bit of practice, Cala Sa Forcanera (30 min), Cala Sant Francesc — Cala Bona (50 min) or S'Agulla and the sea caves (1 h 15 min). And if you're experienced and fit, Santa Cristina beach (1 h 30 min) or the big crossing to Cala Canyelles (2 h 30 min). You'll find them all with maps on the Routes page.
